Improving the spectators view of the court was top priority for this project. A barrier was needed that kept the view but met all the safety requirements.
The client (Tennis Australia) required a glass balustrade that met all the current safety requirements of the NCC, they also undertook their own testing of the laminated glass used for requirements of section I of AS1288:2021. All requirements were met without the need for handrail on the glass.
The design team on this project were tasked with improving the spectators view of the tennis match. Looking for a solution to replace steel tube railings, POSIglaze was presented to the team and it was chosen to be used throughout.
Using silver brushed POSIglaze side-fix, this was to allow maximum visibility to seated spectators. Expertly installed by the team at Construction Glazing, they met the brief easily with this product.
