Privacy Glass Balustrades

& how they can benefit you!

How can I increase privacy on my balcony?

Privacy glass balustrade is becoming popular for balconies. Use of frosted glass to shield the balcony from view of neighbours and passers-by. A privacy screen should be opaque glass or screening to obstruct the line of sight.

Used on one side or all sides, this method can greatly improve your privacy.

In the gallery below you can see multiple examples of how privacy glass has been installed on the side of the balcony. Another great way is having 3/4 privacy glass so you don’t lose your view from on the balcony, but people can’t see up at you from on the street.

The taller screens also help add extra protection from the weather, a bonus here in the UK!

Privacy glass is really easy to maintain with a balustrade. Warm soapy water once in a while, helps keep the grime off the Aluminium balustrade and you can use normal glass cleaner for the glass screens.

How tall can Privacy glass be?

Most domestic installations will be able to install either POSIone, POSIglaze or the SPIG-LITEadvanced system from us. The height of the drop regulates how high your glass must be as well as the glass thickness.

For domestic frameless balustrade:

MEGAgrip Max glass height: 2000mm

POSIglaze Max glass height: 1500mm

POSIone max glass height: 1200mm

SPIG-LITEadvanced max glass height: 1200mm

If you decide to use glass stiffeners and railings, the max glass height increases.

Please check your project against your local building regulations to ensure the safest product for your project.
